Choosing a jiu-jitsu gi

Lighter gis (around 420 GSM) stay cooler and make weight easily; heavier weaves last longer and are harder for opponents to grip. Most UK academies train indoors year-round, so a mid-weight pearl weave suits most practitioners. Nearly all Kingz gis are IBJJF-approved for competition.
