Why isn't Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Olympics? Maybe you've been asking yourself this, or maybe you've been getting plagued by this question by friends and family. Either way, you probably want to know... otherwise you wouldn't be reading this.  

It's not for lack of trying - by some - and the answer is actually a bit more complicated than you might think. Generally, it comes down to two looming points: 1) the BJJ community just isn't cohesive enough, and 2) the IOC doesn't really see it as an attractive option.
